Armandina Ramírez Tamez

My name is Armandina, I'm a Mexican psychologist, and I moved to live in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands in 2022, right at the end of the pandemic.

I have lived in several countries: Germany, Peru, Turkey, and now in the Netherlands. I understand perfectly the challenges that come with moving to another country, such as facing cultural shock, loneliness, and the stress of adapting to a new place. 

Learning to manage frustration and uncertainty has become part of my adaptation process.

In my practice, I offer you a compassionate approach to guide you through the challenges of living abroad. 

With over a decade of experience in diverse cultural contexts and 4 years working in my private practice, I have specialized in providing support to individuals living abroad. 

I am here to support you in developing resilience and self-compassion so you can flourish and thrive in your new environment.

I participated in the workshop 'Let's Make Peace with Our Bodies' led by Armandina, and I loved everything about it: the content, materials, and exercises. I took the workshop 'Make Peace with Your Body,' and it helped me focus on myself in the healthiest sense. It taught me to have a beautiful relationship with myself, to appreciate and celebrate everything my body does for me, and to be attentive to my genuine needs and underlying desires. It made me question my fatphobic mandates and encouraged self-care from self-love rather than criticism and punishment. I believe that the harvest of cultivating a healthy relationship with myself is having healthy relationships with others, and taking the course gives me hope of building nurturing and beautiful bonds (first with myself and then with others).
